Our original trade
Wall and floor tiling, set out properly
Tiling is where M24/7 started. It is also the trade where corners get cut most often, because the shortcuts are invisible for about eighteen months.
How we work
Setting out is the skill
Anyone can fix a tile to a wall. Deciding where the first one goes so cuts are balanced at both ends, grout lines run continuously around corners and nothing awkward lands beside a screen, that is the part that takes experience.
We also mitre external corners where the tile allows, rather than covering the junction with a plastic trim.

Good to know
Why tiles fail, and how we prevent it
Hollow sounding tiles, cracked grout lines and lifting silicone are nearly always substrate problems. Blown render, unsupported plasterboard in a wet area or a floor that flexes will defeat any tile at any price.
So we assess and correct what is behind the tile first. It appears as a line in the quotation and it is the reason the work is still sound years later.
Common questions
Tiling: your questions answered
Do you take on tiling only jobs?
Yes. Single walls, floors and repairs are all fine, and a lot of our larger work starts that way.
Can you tile over existing tiles?
Sometimes, where they are firmly fixed and the extra thickness works. Often removing them is the sounder route.
Why has my grout cracked?
Usually movement in the floor or wall, or grout used where flexible silicone should have been. Both are preventable.
Can you fit large format tiles?
Yes. The wall has to be genuinely flat first, and we allow time for that rather than hoping the adhesive hides it.
How much tile should I order?
Around ten per cent over the measured area, more in a complicated room, all from one batch so the shade matches.
